Jika runs free programs for selected groups within our community. These programs are run through an underlying ethos of social inclusion, in line with Jika’s purpose and values. As such, there are eligibility requirements for certain programs.

FOR ALL PUBLIC HOUSING TENANTS

Computer training

Jika runs free Computer Basics classes for public housing tenants.

Classes run for 8 weeks every term (four terms in a calendar year)

Every student receives a certificate.

English classes

One-on-one, small group, and/or in-home English tutoring available.

FOR HIGH STREET ESTATE RESIDENTS

If you are a  public housing resident of High Street Estate, we have activities that run weekly in the High Street Estate Common Room.

Tuesday Drop In

Drop into the Common Room any Tuesday 10am – 11.30am and enjoy a cup of tea, game, or puzzle with your neighbours.

Art and craft

Come to a craft session, Thursday mornings, 10:00am to 11:30am.

FREE BREAD

Free bread and baked goods in the Common Room of High Street Estate at 7:15pm on Thursdays.
